1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing, downloading, or using the Unigage platform, including our website, mobile applications, and any related services (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to all of these Terms, you must not access or use the Service.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Unigage Ltd. ("Unigage", "we", "us", or "our"). Your continued use of the Service following any modifications to these Terms constitutes your acceptance of such changes.

2. Description of Service

Unigage is a social platform designed for university students to discover, create, and participate in campus events. Our Service provides tools and features that enable users to:

  • Browse and discover events happening at their university and nearby campuses
  • Create and manage events for fellow students and university communities
  • Connect with other students who share similar interests and activities
  • RSVP to events and receive notifications about upcoming activities
  • Share event experiences and engage with the university community

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, with or without notice. We shall not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Service.

3. User Accounts and Registration

To access certain features of the Service, you must create an account. When creating and maintaining your account, you agree to the following:

  • You must be a current university student or staff member to register for an account
  • You must provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security and confidentiality of your account credentials
  • You must promptly update your account information if any changes occur
  • You are solely responsible for all activities that occur under your account

Unigage reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account if any information provided proves to be inaccurate, outdated, or incomplete, or if we reasonably believe that your account has been compromised.

4. User Conduct

You agree to use the Service in a manner consistent with all applicable laws and regulations. The following activities are strictly prohibited:

  • Posting, sharing, or transmitting any content that is harmful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, or otherwise objectionable
  • Engaging in any activity that violates local, national, or international laws or regulations
  • Impersonating any person or entity, or falsely representing your affiliation with any person or entity
  • Sharing false, misleading, or fraudulent information about events, individuals, or organisations
  • Engaging in spamming, harassment, bullying, or any form of unwanted communication towards other users
  • Attempting to gain unauthorised access to other user accounts, the Service infrastructure, or any related systems

Unigage reserves the right to investigate and take appropriate action against anyone who, in our sole discretion, violates these Terms, including removing offending content, suspending or terminating accounts, and reporting violations to law enforcement authorities.

5. Event Creation and Participation

Unigage enables users to create and participate in events. The following terms apply:

Event Organisers

  • Event organisers are solely responsible for the accuracy of event information, including dates, times, locations, and descriptions
  • Organisers must ensure that their events comply with all applicable university regulations, local laws, and health and safety requirements
  • Organisers are responsible for the safety and wellbeing of participants at their events

Event Participants

  • Participants must follow all event guidelines, rules, and instructions provided by event organisers
  • Participants attend events at their own risk and are responsible for their own safety and conduct

Unigage acts solely as a platform to facilitate event discovery and organisation. Unigage is not liable for any incidents, injuries, damages, or disputes arising from events created or attended through the Service. All events must comply with the relevant university regulations and policies.

6. Content and Intellectual Property

You retain full ownership of any content you create, upload, or share through the Service ("User Content"). However, by submitting User Content, you grant Unigage a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable, and transferable licence to use, reproduce, distribute, display, and modify your User Content in connection with operating and promoting the Service.

You represent and warrant that:

  • You own or have the necessary rights and permissions to submit your User Content
  • Your User Content does not infringe upon the intellectual property rights, privacy rights, or any other rights of any third party
  • Your User Content complies with these Terms and all applicable laws

All trademarks, logos, service marks, and trade names displayed on the Service are the property of Unigage or their respective owners. You must not use, copy, or distribute any such intellectual property without prior written consent.

7. Privacy and Data Protection

Your privacy is important to us. Our collection, use, and protection of your personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy, which forms an integral part of these Terms.

By using the Service, you consent to the collection and processing of your personal information as described in our Privacy Policy. We are committed to complying with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

8. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or course of performance.

Unigage does not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free, nor does it make any warranty as to the accuracy, reliability, or quality of any content available through the Service.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Unigage and its directors, officers, employees, agents, and affiliates shall not be responsible or liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from:

  • Your access to, use of, or inability to access or use the Service
  • Any conduct or content of any third party on the Service
  • Any content obtained from the Service
  • Unauthorised access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or content
  • Events created, attended, or facilitated through the Service

9. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us or using the account deletion feature within the Service. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.

Unigage may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including but not limited to a breach of these Terms.

Upon termination, all provisions of these Terms which by their nature should survive termination shall remain in effect, including ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, indemnification clauses, and limitations of liability.

10. Changes to Terms

Unigage reserves the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time at our sole discretion. If a revision is material, we will provide at least 30 days' notice prior to the new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion.

We will notify you of any changes by posting the updated Terms on the Service and updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We may also send you a notification through the Service or via email.

By continuing to access or use the Service after any revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the new Terms, you must stop using the Service.
